VIDEO LOWDOWN 1972

        Este disco também ganhamos de presente, acho que no meu aniversário. Foi um pedido, na verdade eu conhecia a música I´m a man com o Chicago , mas não sabia que ela não era deste disco. A gente tinha muito pouca informação sobre música nesta época (1971) e quando começava a ouvir o disco é que a mágica acontecia. Era tudo um surpresa. Para começar era um disco duplo com todas as músicas desconhecidas. Nossa discoteca já era farta de Beatles, Rolling Stones, Creedence, Led, que tocavam no rádio. Mas o Chicago  tocava pouco, se confundia com o Blood, Sweat & Tears, não havia as baladas que todos conhecem hoje.
        Desde a primeira música o álbum mostra uma mistura de rock pesado, funk, jazz, psicodelia, além de letras incriveis. O Chicago tem o melhor vocal entre todas as bandas, a melhor cozinha de metais e um guitarrista excepcional (Terry Kath) que morreu limpando um revolver em 1977. Todos os músicos são perfeitos.
Ouçam Don't want your money, Free, puro Hard Rock. Mother, jazz da melhor qualidade, a suite A hour in the shower, 5 músicas em sequência, uma viagem perfeita. O lado 4 , chamado Elegy já mostrava um som progressivo. Eu ouvia com fones para não incomodar os vizinhos, já tinhamos nosso lab70 e umas caixas Collaro, era um barulho e tanto.
